Employment Agency awards SIEB & MEYER's vocational training
The German Employment Agency Lueneburg-Uelzen has awarded SIEB & MEYER AG the official certificate for the promotion of young talents 2018 for the company's special commitment towards vocational training on September 12, 2018. SIEB & MEYER offers vocational trainings for the following professions: electronics engineer for devices and systems, IT specialist (system integration) and industrial business management assistant. The company specializing in drive and control technology provides a training department with a state-of-the-art training laboratory.
"We are very happy about this award," says Markus Meyer, CEO at SIEB & MEYER. "It is a nice acknowledgment for our well thought-out training concept, which has proven itself for many years." Between ten and twelve young talents usually complete their traineeships at the Lueneburg based company at the same time. Good support and a profound transfer of knowledge by a trainer especially released from other duties are not only well received by the trainees but were also complimented by the Employment Agency – just like the special training laboratory where each trainee has his own place. The technical equipment is chosen in a way that areas of application and tasks given by the different departments can be trained under realistic conditions. "Our laboratory is very special. Therefore we also offer trainees from other companies the opportunity to prepare for their exams here," Markus Meyer explains.
Beside an optimal vocational training with regular additional courses, SIEB & MEYER also encourages togetherness of the junior staff: All current and future trainees meet, for example, prior to the commencement of training – this way they get to know each other in a relaxed atmosphere and team building is facilitated from the start. The capability of solving problems in a team will help young people in their later professional life. In addition, there are feedback meetings twice a year, also attended by all trainees: Here they discuss things that go well in the training and things that can be improved. "The feedback is important to us because we want to give our trainees the best possible start to their careers," Markus Meyer concludes. "To keep things exciting, we occasionally offer the opportunity to work at our office in China for a few weeks." Other awards also prove that the training concept of SIEB & MEYER works very well: For many years now the SIEB & MEYER trainees have been ranking high on the annual lists of IHK (German chamber of commerce and industry).
