Customized Drive Controllers – Individual High-Speed Solutions by SIEB & MEYER
In many applications, standard components reach their limits. Whether manufacturers deal with small installation spaces, complex motion profiles or special requirement for communication and integration: all these cases call for individual solutions. SIEB & MEYER develops and produces drive controllers that are exactly adapted to the special requirements of the customer.
At SIEB & MEYER, the term 'customized' is not a buzzword but day-to-day business. The German high-speed experts based in Lueneburg generate around 50 percent of their turnover with tailor-made projects ranging from minor modifications of existing devices to completely new developed systems with adapted hardware and software.
Experience shows that the secret to project success lies in communication at an early stage. "When the customers approach us at the beginning of the development phase, they benefit throughout the entire process", explained Torsten Blankenburg, CTO at SIEB & MEYER AG. “This way the design engineers know right from the start what we can do and where we can support them, which saves time and money. Additionally, it gives us the opportunity to tap into the full potential when providing consultation.”
Involving SIEB & MEYER from the start of a project enables tailor-made development. As soon as the specifications are defined, the company's internal process chain comes into play. Development, layout, functional models, testing, transfer to series production – everything is done under one roof in Lueneburg. This means short distances, quick coordination and high quality throughout all project phases.
Close cooperations – long-term partnerships
Customized drive controllers prove their worth wherever standard products are not sufficient, for example, in compact control units for hand-held tools or high-speed drives with special housing designs or connectivity options.
Such adaptations require a close cooperation – both technically and organizationally. Changes to the basic software, new hardware layouts or the replacement of individual components are coordinated with the customer and then implemented in the special device series.
