Top Marks for Quality Management Confirmed
SIEB & MEYER passes the ISO 9001 reaudit without any objections
Since 2003 SIEB & MEYER applies a quality management according to the high standards of ISO 9001. The reaudit of the whole company was held at the beginning of June 2012 confirming that all processes at SIEB & MEYER fully meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2008. Furthermore the reaudit proved the success of several recently implemented process optimizations the company had developed and realized in cooperation with the Leuphana University, Lueneburg.
In the scope of the research project Operations Excellence the Innovation Incubator of the Leuphana University adapted various management methods proven in large enterprises to the requirements of middle-size businesses and tested the results in companies like SIEB & MEYER. The project goal is to use concepts of global players as successful tools in middle-size companies. In this context the existing processes and established structures were analyzed in detail and – if applicable – optimized, e.g. measures in the field of material flow and visualization of key performance indicators. This procedure has been verified as a qualitative process optimization during the recent ISO auditing.
"Our quality management and our processes certainly bear comparison with international and large-scale enterprises", Torsten Blankenburg, CTO at SIEB & MEYER, says. "But as a middle-size company we are able to react quicker and more flexible to application-specific requests and also offer solutions when smaller product quantities are required." With the combination of efficiency of large-scale enterprises and flexibility of a middle-size company SIEB & MEYER, the specialist for control and drive technology, offers customers a convincing performance profile featuring application-oriented solutions of the highest quality level.
