SIEB & MEYER on the Trade Fair SPS 2019
SIEB & MEYER launches new generation of frequency converters
At the SPS 2019, SIEB & MEYER will exhibit new developments in the field of frequency converters and servo amplifiers: A new option module for SD3 allows evaluating two torque transducers and a HIPERFACE DSL® interface. The frequency converter series SD2M with innovative three-level technology is extended by a 450 kVA model especially developed for turbo compressors and turbo blowers. Highlight of the Lueneburg-based company's exhibition is a new generation of frequency converters.
"At this year's SPS our latest product will make its first appearance," said Torsten Blankenburg, CTO at SIEB & MEYER AG. "The first product of the new product family SD4x is an SD4S. This frequency converter is designed for small high-speed spindles or motors in a power range of a few hundred watts. We will reveal more information on the device on the trade fair, so visiting our booth will be worth it."
There are also news about the well-proven frequency converter SD2M with three-level technology: Within the 1st quarter of 2020 a liquid-cooled variant with a power of 450 kVA@480 VAC and a rated current of 630 Arms will be available. Although this device has 50 % more power than the 300 kVA variant, the construction volume is the same. The extremely compact dimensions make a space-saving integration into the customers' systems possible. "We have developed the new device specifically for turbo compressors and turbo blowers. Especially in the field of high-speed turbomachinery, SIEB & MEYER could win numerous new customers for series production of the frequency converter SD2M over the past years," said Blankenburg. "Still, SD2M continues to be the first choice for machine tool applications or test stations."
Last but not least, SIEB & MEYER has recently developed a new option module for the servo amplifier SD3 that can evaluate two torque transducers and a HIPERFACE DSL® interface. With the additional interfaces new application possibilities open up, for example in the fields of tightening, pressing and lifting technology. In addition, this reduces costs for wiring and components significantly.
