SIEB & MEYER AG expands production capacity in Lueneburg

Press releases
More space for final assembly and testing of multilevel drive controllers
New location for the mechanical production

More Room for Growing Demand

After an exceptionally successful business year 2025, the positive trend at SIEB & MEYER AG in Lueneburg, Germany, continues in the first quarter of 2026. In response to the ongoing high-capacity utilization, the company is expanding its production area by 1,800 m2. Two halls provide extra space in the short term and serve as a temporary solution until the planned new building in Lueneburg will be completed.

During the second quarter of 2026, SIEB & MEYER moves part of its mechanical production to an external production hall. At the same time, the final assembly and testing of the multilevel drive controllers is removed to another hall. Both halls are located in Lueneburg and expand the available production area by a total of 1,800 m2.

Logistically, the different locations are connected by a company shuttle. The transfer of employees is well thought out to maintain know-how and established procedures. This approach is also applied to the technical infrastructure: existing production facilities were moved and supplemented by additional systems.

The expansion is intended as a temporary solution. In the future, the company will reunite the off-site areas with the main production in a planned new building. "For 2026, we again expect a sales increase on account of the continued AI boom," explained Torsten Blankenburg, CTO at SIEB & MEYER. "The additional areas give us the flexibility we need to cope with the increased demand and to advance our structural plans."

In 2025, the technological leader for control and drive electronics more than doubled its annual sales from 55.7 to 122 million euros compared to the previous year. Global investments in the AI infrastructure were the main growth drivers. The resulting demand for highly complex PCBs led to a significant increase of investments in PCB drilling machines. In this sector, the machines were equipped with CNC controls by SIEB & MEYER on a large scale.

The drive technology unit at SIEB & MEYER also records a steady growth, which led to moving the final assembly and testing of the multilevel drive controllers.
